New Website.

Hello! Welcome to the first blog post on my newly revamped website.

I am excited to announce the relaunch of my new and, I hope you’ll agree, vastly improved website and blog. Like most of my bespoke services it is designed with the user in mind and to reflect my growing cutting-edge skills as a developer.

I wanted to create a visually pleasing interface that is clutter free and easy to use which showcases my work as a web developer. I hope you agree that I have achieved this with my new look website.

The life of a designer is a life of fight. Fight against the ugliness. Just like a doctor fights against disease. For us, the visual disease is what we have around, and what we try to do is cure it somehow with design. Massimo Vignelli

Over the past decade my designs have changed and improved considerably. However I have seen this industry change beyond recognition. I remember when Flash was the big thing and peoples wild imaginations was producing incredibly exciting and unique website. There was no uniformity and the world wide web for me was a more exciting place.

Since then website standards have improved and websites now all look the same with a more Corporate and Uniform look. Boxes within containers within further containers that are controlled by vast amounts of JavaScript library’s and CSS Frameworks. You may think that this is a good thing but I believe my industry has become to lackadaisical with no imagination or innovation.

I believe this is a shame and new upcoming website developers and designers are becoming too dependent on frameworks and library’s. Yes I use WordPress but I put a spin on it by not using the many templates and website builders like Elementor or Divi Builder. For me I build my WordPress themes from scratch and are unique. Making websites bespoke, unique that are exciting and cutting edge are always front and center of my mind.

What are your thoughts? Let me know below.
